A group of experts formed by professionals from different areas, conducts mobility studies, and seeks financial and legal structures to define the project characteristics, difficulties, conditions and viability.
Once the viability study has been completed, CAF has the capacity to design the optimal rail solution to meet the needs of each customer and infrastructure.
Within the construction phase, CAF can offer a full range of services, starting with the construction of the rail system (tracks, stations, signalling..., etc.) right up to the manufacture of the trains to run in this infrastructure.
This includes the construction of the different parts of the railway infrastructure such as stations and rail terminals, bridges, traction substations, etc.
CAF has the necessary capacity and in-house engineering to carry out the complete installation of the signalling system on the line and at the traffic and operation control centres, including the signalling at an infrastructure level and on-board.
CAF carries out the line electrification including the engineering, design, technical support and work management in the installation and commissioning phases of rail infrastructure and superstructure projects.
CAF also undertakes the engineering and design of high energy-efficient products for rail electrification systems.
CAF designs and manufactures all the systems required for stations and tunnels, such as ticketing, video surveillance systems, control and remote control systems and internal communication systems
CAF has extensive experience in the manufacture of all types of rolling stock: high-speed, regional and commuter trains; metros, trams and locomotives; and also auxiliary vehicles.
CAF is responsible for all the factory and track testing of the rolling stock, before this is put into operation.
The CAF Group undertakes to deliver the systems ready for immediate commissioning, complying with the quality standards demanded by the customer and in line with the budget agreed for each particular case.
CAF has the capacity to operate a rail system, being ultimately responsible for the general administration of the system and for the management of all the revenue obtained and the resources required to obtain the maximum profitability from the project.
Within the CAF maintenance services, specific mention should be made of the maintenance of the rolling stock and infrastructures right up to the project completion, in addition to the provision of machinery and equipment for maintenance workshops.
