Flexibility is closer than ever

Civity is the family of trains CAF has developed for commuter and regional services. This modular concept applies to the train interior and exterior, ensuring that the ultimate standard in comfort can be achieved through a train specifically tailored to cover all operator and passenger requirements.

Designed for an international track width of 1435 mm, Civity complies with the most demanding European standards, such as TSI, EN and UIC. Civity currently complies with TSI-Noise, TSI-SRT (Safety in Railway Tunnels) and TSI for conventional stock.

Low floor

Civity is a low floor train solution, allowing it to be easily accessed from any type of platform. Floor height of either 600 mm or 800 mm.

Within the wide range of regional and commuter trains currently available on the market, Civity is a unique solution, offering a range of traction options, yet based on the same modular, low-floor vehicle concept.

The Civity trains are available with the following types of traction:

Civity can adapt to the traction requirements of each and every operator. This family of trains is designed for 4 different power supplies: 1500 VDC, 3000 VDC, 15 kVAC (16,6 Hz), 25 kVAC (50 Hz).
