FREIBURG TRAM
In February 2013, CAF and the company Freiburger Verkehrs-AG signed a contract for the supply of 12 Urbos LRVs for the German city of Freiburg. Subsequently, in 2018, the supply contract for 5 additional units was signed and in 2021 a further 8 units.
This is a 100% low floor tram made of 7 modules which offers a large transit capacity. This vehicle not only features a modern and innovator exterior design, but it also provides the best passenger access conditions among existing LRVs worldwide.
This new project will not only provide for the modernization of the current fleet, but will also cover new future lines to extend the network of this city. Freiburg is the fourth largest city of Baden-Württemberg.
