GRANADA TRAM
In 2010 The Andalucian Regional Government awarded CAF the production and supply of light trains for the Granada metropolitan. The units are 100% low floor and consist of 5 modules each.
These trams run without a catenary along certain sections of the route thanks to the Greentech FreeDrive technology. This system provides for approximately 30 % energy saving, as well as considerably reducing visual contamination and investment in infrastructure.
New contract concluded in 2022 for the supply of new units. These new trams are equipped with state-of-the-art on-board comfort, technology, safety and accessibility, whilst maintaining the styling of the previous series.
