High speed and high power electric locomotive, constructed by a Hispanisc-German-Swedish consortium. Bó-Bó type, for its universality and three phase technology is called Eurolocomotora. These locomotives provide service with high speed passenger trains of heavy goods trains on difficult profiles, with an alternating current catenary of 25 Kv and direct current of 3000 V, and on a track of 1668 mm. and/or 1435 mm.
The series is made up of 75 locomotives. The first 15 can circulate on international tracks and the other locomotives on tracks with a gauge of 1668 mm. The trucks can however be interchanged and the locomotives can circulate on a different track gauge.
The first 31 locomotives are bi-voltage and the remaining locomotives are single voltage at 3000 V.
