Regionalverkehr Köln GmbH (RVK), the public transport authority of the German city of Cologne, has once again chosen Solaris for the supply of hydrogen-powered buses. This time the contract comprises 20 vehicles, nine of which will be Urbino 12-metre buses, while the remaining eleven will be Urbino 18-metre articulated buses. After delivery of this order - scheduled for the first half of 2025 - the hydrogen bus fleet in Cologne will comprise 84 Solaris vehicles.

CAF has reached a new milestone in its already extensive history in the Netherlands by gaining the trust of a new customer in said country. In this case, it is the public transport operator Qbuzz, part of FS Group, who has chosen CAF to supply 10 commuter trains, as well as a corresponding spare parts package, which are scheduled for delivery from 2028.

The transport operator AMT Genova (Azienda Mobilità e Trasporti SpA) has awarded Solaris an all-time record order to supply a total of 112 18-metre trolleybuses. The contract is worth in excess of €100 million.

EuroMaint, the Swedish based CAF Groups´ railways services provider company, celebrated on Friday 8th of March 2024, the opening of a 35.000 square meters modern maintenance center including a stabling yard and a depot of 7,500 square meters in Nässjö, a strategic location in Sweden, to maintain the new trains that CAF is delivering to Transitio AB for the Krösatåg operations.

The CAF Group company has consolidated its leading position in the thriving hydrogen city bus market with two new contracts for the supply of 57 vehicles for a combined value of over €40 million. Solaris' experience in rolling out hydrogen technology has seen 40 operators in 10 European countries already place their trust in the company, having placed orders for a volume in excess of 700 vehicles.

ATAC S.p.A. has awarded CAF the framework contract for the supply of the new tram fleet for the Italian capital city. The contract specifically covers the design and manufacture of 40 trams, train maintenance for 5 years and the associated fleet spares. There is also an option to increase the number of units in the project by a further 81, taking the total to 121. The base contract is worth in excess of €130m, which could grow to in excess of €400m should the customer make use of all the options provided
