Toyota Motor Europe to supply fuel cell modules for train project as member of the FCH2RAIL Consortium

Fuel cell power pack to allow emission-free travelling by train without overhead lines. Toyota recently announced packaged fuel cell system modules to promote hydrogen utilization toward carbon neutrality and a hydrogen society. Toyota Motor Europe (TME) Fuel Cell Business to supply and integrate fuel cell modules into zero-emission train prototype.

The CAF Group company Solaris believes that European funds present an opportunity for Spain to mirror our success in sustainable transport in Europe and meet established targets.

Only 6% of buses in Spain are zero emission type which is far below the figures for the rest of Europe: investment of more than €600 million would be required until 2025 to meet established targets.

The RATP and SNCF Voyageurs award the order for the new trains on line B of the RER regional express network to the Bombardier-CAF consortium

Please find attached the press release which the transport operator RATP issued in relation to its selection of the CAF/Bombardier consortium as their preferred bidder to supply 146 trains for the Paris RER B suburban line. Said line is operated by both RATP and SNCF and serves the French capital in northbound/southbound directions.

THE CAF GROUP SECURES AN IMPORTANT CONTRACT FOR THE SUPPLY OF 123 ELECTRIC BUSES IN ROMANIA

In the backdrop of a public tender issued by the Ministry of Public Works, Development and Administration of Romania, the CAF Group subsidiary, Solaris, has been awarded with the supply of 123 e-buses to be delivered to seven Romanian towns. The total value of the contract amounts to circa €65 million.

FIRST ORDER PLACED WITH SOLARIS UNDER THE FRAMEWORK AGREEMENT TO SUPPLY 530 ELECTRIC BUSES TO HAMBURG

Hamburger Hochbahn, one of the largest public transport operators in Germany, issued a tender this year for the supply of 530 twelve and eighteen metre-long (articulated) electric buses. In August, three candidate manufacturers were selected, one of these being the CAF Group subsidiary. The framework agreement establishes tranche orders for the vehicles over the next 5 years until completing the delivery of the aforementioned total of 530 vehicles.
