AWARD OF THE SUPPLY OF UNITS FOR HOLLAND
NS has published in its webpage that following an extensive tender procedure with recognised rolling stock manufacturers it became clear that CAF S.A. has submitted the best offer during the last phase of the Tender Procedure. So far, with this party (referring to CAF S.A.) will be further negotiated, which is common practise in these kind of procedures.
The contract that NS negotiates with CAF includes 120 passenger trains for a total of aproximately 510 Million Euros for NS's Sprinter service, plus the possibility to order more similar trains. It is expected that the negotiations will be concluded by December this year.
