The Company is currently working on projects in many different countries. Worthy of note are the supply of commuter units for Sao Paulo and Belo Horizonte (Brazil), Bari (Italy), Auckland (New Zealand), and also trains for the company Amtrak in the United States of America, for Sardinia and Saudi Arabia.

CAF is also supplying trams for the cities of Stockholm, Houston, Besançon, Cincinnati, Kansas City, Freiburg, Boston, Budapest, Tallinn and Kaohsiung in Taiwan, and metro units for cities such as Rome, Bucharest, Sao Paulo, Medellín, Istanbul, Helsinki and Santiago de Chile.

Other Recently Awarded Contracts

Worthy of note is the project which has just been published this week to supply 120 trains for NS (Nederlandse Spoorwegen), a Dutch public operator and one of the largest companies in the European railway sector, with a contract volume in excess of 500 million. This amount is not included in the aforementioned backlog.

It should also be noted that the contracts for cars for Caledonian Sleepers (Scotland) and Monterrey (Mexico), the awarding of which was published various months ago, are not included in the backlog either. This is because the relevant contracts are yet to be signed.

Last August CAF also signed a contract for the refurbishment of 35 2-car trains on Lyon Metro's D Line, which will be added to those the company recently executed in France, where CAF supplied trams for the cities of Nantes and Besançon. CAF was also awarded the contract to refurbish 40 electric locomotives for the Italian Railway operator, Trenitalia, which includes the first installation of CAF P&A electrical equipment on locomotives in Europe. Both contracts, with a joint volume of approximately €60m. represents access into the French and Italian refurbishment markets.
