CAF,
aware of the fact that their activities
can have effects
on the environment, have integrated an environmental policy
into the company’s general policy. The protection of
the Environment is an objective of the organization.
To this end, the Environmental Management System has been
implemented and certified according to standard ISO 14.001,
which guarantees compliance with the objectives established
in the environmental policy.
In March 2004, the ISO 14.001 certificate (secured in 2001)
was renewed. This certificate monitors periodically compliance
with and effectiveness of the adopted measures. It ensures
that the objectives established by the organization are achieved.
The environmental actions taken by CAF are aimed at controlling
and minimizing the significant environmental aspects, which
are emissions into the atmosphere, disposal of residues and
energy consumption, with the objective of preserving natural
resources.
