AURA is a technological option from a research, development and innovation point of view. This name conceals an intelligent and objective diagnosis tool aimed at maintaining complex rails systems in accordance with their status. This is one step further than predictive and proactive maintenance.
This system makes it possible to anticipate train incidents, making it an immunological system for rail vehicles. A language between the train and the maintainer has been created with AURA, and thanks to this, CAF’s trains can communicate with the maintainer workshop and request a specific maintenance plan for each vehicle, with each plan based on location and variables inputs such as temperautre, vibration, noise, artificial vision, etc. This is an example of advanced intelligent knowledge control applied to the rail maintenance sector, CAF’s alternative to deal with long maintenance contracts.
