The mobile character of the train and the necessity of remote communication with the train when travelling, steers the solution towards the installation of a device in each unit that provides a wireless connection, with the subsequent additional advantages that this solution provides.
- Fast and simple installation (no wiring is required).
- The obtaining of “on-line” variables.
- The possibility of freedom of movement.
- Maintenance cost reduction (shared with a conventional network).
These systems shall be capable of providing secure and reliable communication, as fast as the corresponding technological sifgnal permits in each of the sections on the routes the train shall run on. For this reason, depending on the requirements of each customer, as well as the environment where the communication system is to be used, the technology used shall be different (GSM, GPRS, UMTS, Wifi, etc.)
