MAPTRAIN is the AURA interface for the maintainer. This is a tool that as well as constantly displaying the geographical location of the rail vehicle, thanks to wireless communications and the GPS receiver, permits intelligent control of all the alarms that trip on the train, preventing false alarms and giving warning of specific alarms in each situation.

The on-board alarms currently generated by a train cannot recognise the context of the train: Speed, mileage, outside temperature, passengerload, etc. MAPTRAIN performs preliminary analysis of the alarms in the context of the train at the time the alarms sound, being able to decide whether, in this context, it is a false alarm or not.
