TENAV 350
The main purpose of the TENAV 350 project, headed by the company CAF (Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles, S.A.), is to develop new concepts and solutions for high speed trains, analyzing dynamics, aerodynamics-running resistance and noise-vibrations with a significant evolution to vehicle comfort, sustainability and efficiency. To this end, new measuring, simulation and analysis techniques shall be developed for extremely high speed trains as a basis for the development of new concepts.
This ambitious project can only be achieved through the cooperation of various public and private agents, each with well formed knowledge. As a result of collaboration in activities, important progress shall be made in a strategic sector for the society and economy for public transport.
Three railway sector companies and one Public University collaborate in the project, making up a four member consortium.
The following organizations are participants:
- CONSTRUCCIONES Y AUXILIAR DE FERROCARRILES S.A.
- CONSTRUCCIONES Y AUXILIAR DE FERROCARRILES INVESTIGACIÓN Y DESARROLLO S.L.
- CETEST, S.L.
- POLYTECHNIC UNIVERSITY OF MADRID
The project was partially funded by the Ministry of Science and Innovation and co-funded by FEDER funds as the INNPACTO 2010 Project.
