CAF is awarded the contract to supply 30 units for the Mexico City Metro
On the 22nd of December, Sistema de Transporte Colectivo (STC) Metro of Mexico city awarded Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles (CAF) a contract to lease 30 trains, each with 7 cars, with iron rolling gear, for Line 12 which is currently under construction.
This contract is valid for 15 years in PPS mode (Service Provision Contract), and also includes the aforementioned leasing of the units and comprehensive maintenance of the trains during said period. The final formalisation of the financial deal is still pending, for an amount of approximately 1,000 million euros.
