This is the first Latin America turnkey contract for the construction of the civil work, electromechanical systems and the supply of 40 units of 7 modules of the new tram for the metropolitan region of Cuiabá, capital of the state of Mato Grosso in Brazil and one of the host headquarters of the 2014 Football World Cup.

This is a state of the art Urbos 100% low floor type tram, providing a service for 28 kilometres, along two lines of the Metropolitan Area of Cuiaba: Airport-Centro Político Administrativo (CPA) and Centre-Coxipo. 

This project represents firm support for the development of passenger transport in the Mato Grosso region and will be the building block for new tram projects which will be executed in the next few years in Brazil.
