HOUSTON LRV

In 2011, CAF signed a contract to supply, and subsequently maintain, 39 trams for the city of Houston. This is an Urbos 70% low floor, bidirectional tram made up of 3 modules.

The new vehicles will run in six different lines of the Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County (METRO) which will be operative in 2014. All units have been produced at the CAF plant in the USA, in Elmira.

This project revalidates CAF’s experience as tram supplier in the United States, as they have previously supplied articulated units for the cities of Sacramento and Pittsburgh.
