SAINT-ÉTIENNE TRAM

CAF is to supply the new trams for the French city of Saint-Étienne. These trams are part of the Company's Urbos platform with 100% low floor for ease of boarding and egress of any type of user, and passengers walking along the unit.

The new trams boast new significant features compared to units currently in operation on this network, as they are bidirectional and have doors on the ends for added operation flexibility. In addition, the carbody width has been reduced to 2.15 metres to adapt to the characteristics of the Saint-Etienne Métropole infrastructure.

The new Urbos vehicles combine modern design and leading edge equipment for maximum accessibility and performance combined with ease of operation and maintenance with no compromise in comfort.

This project will be manufactured in CAF France's plant in Bagnères de Bigorre, in the Hautes-Pyrénées Department.
