TRANSPENNINE EXPRESS PASSENGER CARS

CAF has signed an agreement to supply 66 passenger cars for TransPennine Express franchise in the UK. This franchise is operated by First Group.

The project covers the supply of different types of passenger cars which will run in push-pull mode trailed by locomotives made by another manufacturer. Each train is made up of: one locomotive; First class accommodation Trailer Car; two Standard class accommodation Trailer Car; Standard class accommodation with Guard's accommodation Trailer Car; Standard class accommodation Driving Trailer.

The project also includes maintenance of the new fleet. CAF's commitment with First Group operator is long-term, as this partnership will continue until the end of the franchise operation with the provision of technical support service for maintenance, and integral spares management for both train platforms.
