The new De Lijn trams are part of CAF's Urbos range. This project specifically comprises of unidirectional and bidirectional trams, all boasting state-of-the-art design and high user riding comfort standards.
These Urbos units are low floor along the entire length. The design has been thought out for ease-of-access for people with various degrees of disabilities who may require special attention. Specific areas are also assigned for people with reduced mobility, strategically located close to the nearest doors.
De Lijn is the Flemish public operator of buses and trams with the entire network spanning a total length of 175km. The new CAF units will provide service in the east and west provinces of Flanders, as well as the city of Antwerp.
