BIRMINGHAM TRAM

The West Midlands Transport Authority, which operates the metro system of this city under the Centro commercial name, awarded CAF, in 2012, the supply of 20 Urbos 100 trams.

These trams, similar to those running in Zaragoza, are 100% low floor with the best accessibility conditions for handicapped persons. Delivery is scheduled between 2013 and 2014.

This tram project includes the opening of an extension of the existing line system in addition to the total replacement of the vehicles currently in service with a more modern fleet.
