The CAF Group has secured both contracts on the German market. Firstly, it has entered into a contract with the operator Ruhrbahn GmbH to supply 51 LRVs, which will serve the cities of Essen and Mülheim an der Ruhr. Secondly, the company has won an extension of eight additional trams for the city of Freiburg. Both contracts amount to a figure of almost €200 M.

The urban operator Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona (TMB) has awarded the CAF Group subsidiary a contract to supply 30 Urbino 12 hybrid buses to expand the fleet of vehicles operating in the Metropolitan Area of Barcelona (by AMB) and adding to the almost one hundred Solaris buses currently in operation in Barcelona and its surrounding areas.

The CAF Group subsidiary Solaris has been selected to supply 250 Solaris Urbino 12 compressed natural gas buses for Madrid, so far largest contract in Madrid. The contract requires the first units to be delivered before the end of the year.

In this specific case, the German operator In-der-City-Bus, which manages Frankfurt's public transport system, has decided to purchase 13 Urbino 12 hydrogen buses, scheduled for delivery in 2022.

CAF has been selected to supply 15 Urbos trams to Companhia Carris de Ferro de Lisboa, E. M., S. A. (CARRIS), the company responsible for urban public land transport in the city of Lisbon. This contract also includes tram maintenance servicing for a period of 5 years. The overall project amount is in excess of €43 million.

AB Transitio has awarded CAF a contract to supply regional trains under the terms of the framework agreement signed in 2014 by the Swedish public company relative to regional train purchases. The base contract comprises the production of 20 EMUs (electric units), 4 cars each, and 8 BMUs (biodiesel-electric bimodal units) consisting of 3 cars plus a power car.
