The Dutch national operator NS (Nederlandse Spoorwegen), which operates commuter and intercity trains on the Dutch Main Rail Network , has placed its trust in CAF once again, by ordering a new fleet of double-deck trains for intercity services. RENFE have today reported that The Board of Directors has awarded CAF the contract to supply 28 electric trains that will operate on the Spanish operator's medium distance services. The contract also includes the supply of any corresponding spare parts, as well as comprehensive maintenance services for 17 of these units for a term of 15 years. The total volume of this operation for CAF amounts to close to 300 million euros.

CAF has been chosen by RTM (Régie des Transports Métropolitains) that operates the entire Marseille public transportation network, to supply 15 new tramway units. The contract (value €57 million) also includes an option to increase the number of trams depending of the network extensions to come.
