Yet again, the CAF Group consolidates its position as a global supplier of Zero Emissions Mobility solutions by securing two new contracts in the Balearic Islands. These consist, on the one hand, of the supply of five electric units to Serveis Ferroviaris de Mallorca, and on the other, five hydrogen buses to the capital city of Palma.

CAF has signed a contract for the supply of 23 new electric units for the city of Auckland, in New Zealand. The contract, worth in excess of €130M, includes the maintenance of the trains until the end of 2025 and has an extension option for up to 5 additional units.

The company Opérateur de Transport de Wallonie (OTW), the public transport operator of the Francophone zone in Belgium has selected the CAF Group, through its subsidiary Solaris, to supply 161 Urbino 12 hybrid buses and their maintenance for a term of 8 years. The buses are scheduled to be delivered over the course of 2022, with the contract exceeding a value of €75m.

NTA (Metropolitan Mass Transit Systems) has chosen the transport consortium made up of the CAF Group and the construction firm Shapir for the Tel Aviv LRV Purple Line. NTA is the company in charge of providing the most appropriate solutions to meet transport demands in the Tel Aviv metropolitan area. It is currently building the main public transport system in the Gush Dan area, the largest transport project ever undertaken in Israel, in terms of both volume and complexity.

Unibuss AS, one of Norway's largest transport operators, has once again placed its trust in CAF Group with a contract to supply 183 Urbino 18 electric buses to Oslo. This contract is testament to the Norwegian capital city's commitment to electrifying the city's public transport system, following a call for tenders which received bids from leading companies in the sector.

Alstom announced today that it has agreed to divest its Coradia Polyvalent platform, its Reichshoffen production site in France and its TALENT3 platform, currently developed in Hennigsdorf, Germany to CAF.
