CAF POSTS € 44M AFTER-TAX PROFIT FOR THE FIRST HALF OF 2014

CAF’s backlog as of 30 June 2014 amounted to € 4,860.3m. Approximately 78% of the current backlog relates to international market projects.

 

CONSOLIDATED GROUP PERFORMANCE

 

Net Turnover as of 30 June 2014 amounted to € 737m, which is less than the figure at the end of the first half of 2013, which amounted to € 780.9m.

 

As of 30 June 2014 the EBITDA Margin amounted to € 91.4m.

 

The Year Profit before Corporation Tax as of 30 June 2014 was € 55.7m.

 

Net Year Profit after Corporation Tax as of 30 June 2014 amounted to € 44m, which accounts for 6% of net sales.

 

Some of the Company's ongoing projects worthy of mention include the supply of Suburban Units for São Paulo and Belo Horizonte (Brazil), Trieste and Bari (Italy), Auckland (New Zealand) and EuskoTrenbideak; trains for Amtrak in the United States of America, Sardinia and Saudi Arabia; trams for the cities of Stockholm, Houston, Cuiaba, Besançon, Cincinnati, Kansas City, Fribourg, Boston, Budapest, Tallinn and Kaohsiung in Taiwan; and metro units for cities such as Rome, Bucharest, São Paulo, Medellín, Istanbul, Helsinki and Santiago de Chile.
