Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles SA have consolidated their presence in the United Stated following a new 30 million dollar order for the rehabilitation of 15 LRVs for the city of Pittsburgh.
This contract is an addition to that already achieved by the company in the year 2000 for the supply of 28 light metro train for the Pittsburgh network and the rehabilitation of 40 units that were already in service.
The work shall be performed in the factory the company opened in 2002 in Helmira Heights, in the state of New York. The assembly of bogies and cars for the Washington metros, the Sacramento trains and the Pittsburgh articulated units shall be executed on these premises.
