LIEGE TRAMWAY

CAF is supplying new trams for TEC, the Walloon transport operator, in the city of Liege. The new units are Urbos range vehicles consisting of 7 modules each and offer large carrying capacity to the operator.

The tram is entirely low-floor, making boarding and alighting all the more easier as it is at the exact same height as the platform. Seating for reduced mobility passengers is also provided in dedicated areas inside the vehicle which are strategically placed near the doors.

The units are fitted with the OESS system for catenary-free operation.

In addition to the supply of rolling stock, the project also encompasses signalling, telecommunications and energy systems as well as partnering for the maintenance of the system.
