CAF is the supplier for the new automatic Metro units for the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) line managed by Transport for London (TfL).

The new units are made up of 5 cars and belong to the CAF’s Inneo metro platform. The trains are equipped with the most advanced technology as regards sound and visual information for passengers, in addition to air-conditioning, mobile device charging points and areas for pushchairs, bicycles and baggage. To guarantee maximum accessibility to users, the vehicle has spaces reserved for wheelchairs.

The new trains are equipped with a signalling system that allows operation in Grade of Automation 3 (GoA3) and driverless operation (with train guard) in fully automatic mode.
