PRODUCT QUALITY AND SAFETY

CAF believes that in order to supply its customers with safesafe and QUALITY products for its customers and to achieve maximum customer loyalty, products and services and secure their utmost loyalty, the company must engage all the parties working in operating processes (R&D, design, supply, manufacturing, validation, delivery, warranty and maintenance).

Safety Management System Certified (Railways)

Ensure that the requirements are being met as per Regulations (EU) 402, 445, 779 in relation to adopting a common safety method to assess and evaluate the risk and as per the safety reference standard EN 50126 of “Railway Applications. The specification and demonstration of reliability, availability, maintainability and safety (RAMS).

RESPECT FOR FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS

Respecting Fundamental Rights, principles of equal treatment and non-discrimination, protection against the exploitation of child labour, and any other principles embodied in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the United Nations Global Compact which CAF forms a part of, regarding Human, Labour, Environment and Anti-Corruption - both in-house and externally.

OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY

CAF is committed to maintaining and improving the occupation health and safety system to guarantee that current legislation is met, ensuring personnel protection against occupational hazards.

To prevent occupational risks, the Group has monitoring and assessment systems and certificates that surpass the legal requirements in each country that the Group operates in. To this regard, in 2020, at least 45% of the Group’s entire workforce was certified under the requirements of new standard ISO 45001:2018 y un 2% adicional bajo la norma OHSAS 18001:2007. De cara a 2021 y 2022, se tiene como objetivo extender dicha certificación a las restantes plantas de fabricación de trenes y autobuses.

SUSTAINABLE AND RESPONSIBLE SUPPLY CHAIN

Providing a differential value contribution, working with reliable supplier organisations, who are notified of the requirements and expectations in a structured fashion to ensure the conveyed requirements are handled appropriately.

CAF is takes part in the Railsponsible sector initiative in partnership with other stakeholders to develop sustainable practices across the rail industry value chain. The 2020-2025 strategy of this initiative specifies climate change prevention and social responsibility as top priorities, with responsible purchasing being the main strategy to this regard.
