NEORED: NEW GENERATION OF LIGHTWEIGHT AND COMPACT RAIL VEHICLE GEAR-UNITS

The support programme HAZITEK 2022: SUPPORT PROGRAMME FOR BUSINESS R&D has facilitated the NEORED project enabling the development of a new generation of lightweight and compact rail vehicle gear-units, particularly for use on metro vehicles. In turn, this has contributed to our endeavours towards sustainability-based goals such as reducing energy consumption and pollutant emissions, and also enhancing how raw materials are used.

This project has been financed by the Basque Government and the European Union via the European Regional Development Fund 2021-2027 (ERDF).
