New metro units for the city of Naples supplied by CAF. Specifically, this project comprises the supply of 10 units of the Inneo range for Line 1 of this metro system.
The new trains all consist of 6 cars, each equipped with cutting edge safety, performance and comfort technology. Inneo designs pursue maximum energy efficiency by passenger capacity optimisation on each unit.
These units boast wide spaces and unobstructed gangways for superior comfort and passenger distribution. There are also specific areas allocated for wheelchairs, in line with their commitment to maximum accessibility.
Naples is the most populated city in southern Italy, with approximately 3 million inhabitants in the greater metropolitan area. There are two lines (1 and 6) on the metro network, operated by the company ANM (Azienda Napoletana Mobilità).
New contract for new units sigened with Ente Autonomo Volturno in 2020. These are units with the same characteristics as the previously contracted trains, but which in this case, will provide service on the Piscinola - Aversa Centro line on the Naples metro network.
