DIGITALISATION OF THE RAILWAY AXLE FORGING PROCESS AT CAF MIIRA [DIGIFORJA]

MINCOTUR's CONNECTED INDUSTRY 4.0 2020 initiative promoted the implementation of the DIGIFORJA project which, through the use of smart technology, has enabled CAF MiiRA to digitise and control its railway axle forging process so as to save on production costs, reduce manufacturing times and improve the final quality of its axles.

The project has received funding from the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, as part of the scheme to provide financial support for R+D+i projects related to Connected Industry 4.0.
