MODCA: TRANSFER OF PHYSICAL THEORY APPLIED TO RUBBER SUSPENSIONS

The MODCA project forms part of the Basque Government's BASQUE INDUSTRY 4.0 programme. This project has developed a predictive model-based technology to determine the damage caused in fatigue tests and its accelerated test for competitive application in the certification of primary conical rubber/metal suspensions.

The advantages of developing the described technology include: less environmental impact as well as a reduction in train energy consumption through smarter energy management and the development of on-board energy storage systems.

The project has received funding from the Basque Government and the European Union via the European Regional Development Fund 2021-2027 (FEDER).
