CAF is awarded the Ferrocarril Suburbano de la Zona Metropolitana del Valle de México ( Suburban Rail System in Mexico City) for 30 years

The rolling stock CAF shall supply for this operation consists of 20 electric units pertaining to the latest generation 447 series family of products. For this process three 3 car units shall be supplied over the first three years, with plans to incorporate a fourth car as of the fourth year, to meet increasing demand. Companies such as ADIF, OHL, Indra, Alcatel, Elecnor and Ineco participate in the CAF led successful bidder consortium, with 20% Mexican shareholding.
