COMMUTER TRAIN MEXICO SUBURBAN

In 2005, CAF, via the company Ferrocarriles Suburbanos S.A. de C.V., was awarded System 1 of the Suburban Railway which included the production of rolling stock, the construction of civil work, signals, communication, ticketing, operation and maintenance.

The rolling stock consisted of 20 electric trains made up of 4 cars. Up to 3 units can be coupled according to the demand requirements in each case.

These units cover the Buenavista-Cuautitlan route, which links the city of Mexico with four neighbouring regions, with the capacity to serve 300,000 passengers per day.
