VITORIA TRAM

In 2008, the city of Vitoria inaugurated their first tram line for which CAF supplied 11 trams between 2008 and 2009. This is a 100% low floor tram consisting of 5 articulated carbodies. It is metric gauge and bidirectional with two driver cabs. These trams are based on the URBOS solution developed by CAF for urban transport.

A standout feature is that it is designed as a modular system which allows for a seven module train consists by adding two intermediate modules to the basic consist. So much so, that in 2020 three new 7-module trams are supplied to the capital of Alava. Likewise, the agreement includes the extension from 5 to 7 modules of three of the units already running in the city.
