CAF supplied RENFE with as many as 50 regional diesel trains from 2009 to 2011. These units consist of two motor cars and a trailer car which can be coupled making up sets of up to three units (nine cars). They are controlled from a single driver cab.
Although initial operation is on Iberian gauge tracks, these units have been fitted with a preinstallation of the facility to run on international gauge infrastructures (UIC). Brava variable gauge bogies can be fitted, allowing the units to run on both Iberian gauge and international gauge tracks.
